Your company's culture & productivity directly relate to the management style of the owner(s) - from the top down. When was the last time you took a step back and reviewed your mgmt. style so you can evolve & stay in tune with "best practices" for today? Here are a few questions to ask yourself, keeping in mind: "Nothing Changes unless something changes".

  • Do you consistently recognize people for what they do on a daily basis? Catching them doing something right!
  • Do you set clear objectives and make sure they have the tools & control to be successful?
  • Is the lowest level position (person) in your company given the same level of respect & dignity that the highest level gets?
  • Favoritism: Do you have "pets" and does it show?

Start at the TOP

The best place to start to grow/turn your business around is with your greatest asset - your people! Even in these challenging economic times! It "must" start at the top, be consistent and you must truly believe it.

Take an honest look at how you manage your people and figure out a way to change that style to "coaching" - your bottom line & CPA will appreciate it and SO WILL YOU.
